Creative Peer Support Group

In 2022, we launched the Sudanese Creative Friendship Circle in partnership with Educare, Catholic Social Services, and the Asian Community & Cultural Center. In 2024, at the request of the women in the circle, we expanded the eligibility to all women who speak Arabic. In 2025, we expanded it to all New American women.

In our circle, mothers meet at Educare once a week to knit, crochet, and sew while discussing life’s challenges, local resources, and upcoming opportunities to improve their well-being. This circle is supported by peer support specialists from the Asian Community & Cultural Center.
