Nyabuoy Chan is determined to live an independent life and act as an example for the women in her Sudanese community here in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 2021, Nyabuoy had the idea to start a cleaning business, based on her own lived experience in the commercial cleaning industry. Through our Refined Coaching program, Nyabuoy launched Buay Cleaning Services LLC in 2022.

Ronak “Roe” Jaf sees no limits to what she can learn and achieve. Harnessing the grace and beauty of her home region of Kurdistan, Roe provides microblading, eyebrow threading, glam makeup, and more. Roe is always improving her techniques and staying updated on the latest trends in the beauty industry. Nor Ghazalah and Khedr Al Fakhouri moved to the United States in the summer of 2021, and on April 29, 2022, realized their dream of owning their own store and restaurant: Al Nor Market. Reyna Carbajal was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from la Universidad de Toluca in 2010 and a Master’s degree in Facility Management from FM House in Spain in 2018. Reyna also has experience in Construction Process, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Project Management. She received her FAA Pilot Certification in 2023.

Nadiia Konovaliuk is from Ukraine and in 2022 had to leave her beloved country because of the war. Happy Baby started when Nadiia was expecting her youngest child in 2019. Lidiya Postrygan
Lidiya Postrigan was born in Crimea but moved to Lviv, Ukraine, in 2014 due to the Russian occupation. Lidiya had her own cosmetology studio and taught professional makeup application for almost a decade. She moved to the United States in 2022 and began rebuilding her cosmetology business. Aranea
Tetiana “Tanya” Koksharova is from Ukraine and has lived in the United States since 2022. Tanya achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Severodonetsk Institute of Technology and started her own business selling knitwear after graduation. Now, Tanya is re-launching her knitwear business in the United States: specializing in slippers, swimwear, and bags. You can find her on Instagram @aranea_aranea.
Zina Salon
Zina Al Ugaili grew up in Iraq and now lives in Lincoln with her spouse and two kids. She has held a cosmetology license since 2014. After almost a decade of hosting clients in her home, Zina opened Zina Salon in June 2023.
